Release Date: Tracklist. Album Rating: 5. Hope you like it! Album Rating: 4. I wished your review would go more into the dark atmosphere of this composition, it's what makes this one so special to me. But have a pos alone for reviewing one the most brilliant, disturbing and beautiful pieces of music ever written. Touching, majestic work of art containing dark atmosphere indeed.
Nice review, Ziguvan. First and last para are good, I think the Album) one is a too wrapped up in the construction of the piece rather than its actual features, sound, mood etc. I still find your analysis interesting but it would've been better to sprinkle those technical details in rather than make them the focus.
It feels like you can't see the forest for the trees in a sense, but nonethless it's pretty well written and a nice choice, so pos. ScuroFantasma: I agree, my second paragraph is too much focused on the musical structure, as said.
Furthermore, you're right, I guess I didn't see the soul of this masterpiece, only the brain. Thanks for your feedback! I just wished it didn't have the little inconsistencies like Benedictus, and it also needs to be played in an appropiate tempo.
And that's way slower than the way it's usually played imo. Review Summary: The sadness and terror of a genius facing his final hour. There are a large number of myths surrounding the Requiem, like Mozart received the commission Benedictus - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart - Kuijken Kwartet - Requiem Kv 626 (SACD a mysterious messenger or Antonio Salieri was that messenger and helped him complete the work or even Mozart believed that he was writing the requiem for his own funeral.
It's known that Mozart only composed Kyriethe Dies irae sequence as far as the first eight bars Snot What They Want, But Whats Good For Them - Condor Moments - .And Though Were Told Weve Got Lacrymosa and Offertorium.
However, some of the added sections may had followed Mozart's manuscript fragments. Composed for orchestra, chorus and four soloists, Mozart's Requiem is divided in eight sections and into fourteen movements. Introitus finishes on a half-cadence that transitions directly into Kyriewhich is a double fugue, with one subject setting the words "Kyrie eleison" and the other "Christe eleison".
Dies irae sequence starts with a strong chorus accompanied by horns and strings, next movement, Tuba mirumopens with a trombone solo accompanying the bass. Confutatis is well known for its string accompaniment; it opens with agitated figures that accentuate the wrathful sound of the basses and tenors, but it turns into soft arpeggios in the Benedictus - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart - Kuijken Kwartet - Requiem Kv 626 (SACD phrase while accompanying the soft sounds of the sopranos and altos.
Followed by Lacrymosathe most famous movement of this work, with a sublime melody of chorus and strings this magnificent piece is capable to bring tears to someone's eyes. The second half of this requiem mass starts with Offertoriuma fantastic piece with some of the best chorus moments.
Sanctus and Agnus Deialthough added later to the score, are also very well written for both orchestra and chorus. Finally, this work ends with Lux aeternawhich the second half is a reprise of the second movement Kyrie. All in all, Mozart's Requiem is a classic work within the classical world. Furthermore, Mozart composed more than the half of the composition, and two hired composers still manage to give shape to the unfinished skeleton.
That said, Requiem in D minor is Mozart's final Benedictus - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart - Kuijken Kwartet - Requiem Kv 626 (SACD, along with all myths and mysteries, it will always remain the unsolvable puzzle.
